Paired Reading in English improves students' comprehension of what they read and at the same time builds long-term memory of the subject matter.  As simple as it sounds for students to read aloud in pairs, it is a powerful strategy during which students hear, see and say the words at the same time, thus using the "neurological impress" method to build memory.
