Exit Slips are a five-minute activity done at the end of the lesson in which students are required to write down a response to a question.  The Exit Slips are then collected and read by the teacher, and can be used to help gauge individual student progress and differentiate in the classroom.  Exit Slips are valuable way to open a private dialogue between teacher and student.
